Julietta’s Place will ensure a safe, secure, supportive and healthy environment for women and their children, during this turbulent time of change in their lives.

Far too often women are left with returning to the abuse due to no appropriate, safe and affordable housing. In a YWCA study (2005) 44% of women responded that housing was the major factor (wait time for subsidized housing, even with abuse priority: 75% of women wait between 1-6 months – and often it is longer).

Domestic violence is a learned behaviour that increases in frequency and severity. Children who grow up in abusive households are 42 percent more likely to perpetuate the cycle of violence as adults.

General Donation - to assist in the day to day operational costs of maintaining this facility

We appreciate your support in our project which will assist families in breaking the cycle of violence. The various donation options available are:

Direct cash donations which you will be provided a charitable tax receipt.

Donations of property when accompanied with a receipt of property will allow for a charitable “gift in kind” tax receipt (The term “Gift in Kind” refers to an item that has been donated to a charity rather than a cash donation. For items that are donated it is important to note that donation receipts can only be issued for property and not for services). This would be beneficial for a non incorporated company.

For Incorporated companies, a general receipt can be issued which can be used as a business expense.
