Women’s Outreach offers a drop–in centre (including drop–in support), referral services, individual support, programs, education and support groups, advocacy and public education to help women who have chosen to pursue a safer, healthier and more secure life for themselves and their families. With our assistance, individuals access, secure and/or develop the resources needed to achieve their goals.
Outreach Support Workers can assist with…
• Supporting individuals and families in identifying their needs/concerns
• Accessing support services related to individual needs
• Supporting women and families experiencing the effects of domestic abuse/violence
• Legal support
• Supporting women who are leaving the Women’s Shelter or People’s Place
• Basic needs
• Crisis intervention
• Assistance to identify and address financial concerns
• And much more
Women’s Outreach is a member of the Coordinated Community Outreach Team in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Native Friendship Centre.
